Paul Sullivan, Sullivan Security Systems, Inc.
Business Operations & Marketing
Paul Sullivan is the owner of Sullivan Security Systems, Inc., located in Wheatfield, NY. Paul handles the business operations, finances, marketing, and promotion of ResponderLink. Paul is responsible for the concept of ResponderLink and its birth.
Paul's Story:
A number of events prompted Paul to pursue the idea that has become ResponderLink. One day he and his grandson were on the computer at an online store, and a page came up listing his past purchases. He noticed that they kept track of everything. Around the same time his grandson also remarked on what is known as the “Tot Finder” sticker in the window. Paul realized that the “tot” the sticker was intended for now has tots of his own and lives fifteen hundred miles away, yet the sticker remains on his window, so he asked "What is it's purpose now?"
A few weeks later his wife awoke at 5AM with excruciating abdominal pain. He called 911 and the ambulance was there in minutes. He let them in and was able to give them facts that helped them do their job, but he questioned, "What if I wasn't here?"
The answers to Paul's questions were not clear and it made him think that there had to be a better way to provide accurate information to first responders when an emergency arose. There was a need to bring this idea forward. After consulting and researching his patent attorney, Vince LoTempio, they found that there were a number of attempts to address Paul's defined need, but none of them got the information directly to the first responders, the one's with their boots on the ground at the scene of an emergency. Vince urged Paul to pursue his idea.
Then the final parts of the picture fell into place. Paul met David Bialas, a young man dedicated to his fire company and adept at applying new technology. Dave immediately saw the value of the idea and quickly developed a concept that would be compatable with the current technology available to first responders. During the designing phase Dave introduced Paul to Les Corrigan, a remarkable web developer and a pioneer of his craft.
Combined the three spent many of hours of discussion, disagreement, design, and execution to bring you ResponderLink. It’s been a long, expensive, sometimes frustrating process but ResponderLink is finally here.
As Paul's daughter remarked, this product has the potential to help save peoples' lives, and that is a worthwhile and priceless endeavor.
